Ohio is home to the largest Amish community in the world. It has been said that Ohio has more Amish residents than any other state. The art work on this page has been inspired by the familiar sights of these humble religious people. The award winning artist Lester Shaw decided to make these souvenir items after a conversation he had several years ago with an elderly Amish man who became excited about some of Lester's work when he realized that it was cast in a foundry in the same way some of the temple items were made in the bible days.
