Remember those wonderful summer days as a child spent at the local fair with family and friends? The sights the smells the music...cotton candy, caramel apples, and sugar waffles! Now you can bring back that feeling by making full sized 4 inch sugar waffles at home on your stove or deep fryer.

My Family has made and sold the irons to the carnival industry for years. Now we are are offering them to you. You can make these wonderfully sweet and crunchy treats at home for just penny's each.

At the Fair you could pay $.75-$1.00 a piece for them!

The secret is out. We also include our original recipe that we sell to concessionaires! click here

Each recipe makes from 30-40 waffles from common household ingredients.

All you need is a pan or deep fryer, a candy thermometer, a fork and table knife, and a mixing bowl... and of course our Waffle Iron.

Our irons are hand sand cast out of a special cooking alloy that is light and radiates the heat quickly and evenly to help you make golden waffles without burnt spots.

Above 35 waffles made from one batter batch

Procedure

1. Use deep fryer, sauce pan, or skillet.

2. We recommend Corn Oil.

3.Temperature of oil 350° to 380°.

4. Place waffle iron in hot oil for 1 minute.

5. Put iron in batter to within 1/8" from top of iron. (Do not go over the top!)

6. Put iron in oil about 1/4", The oil will bubble up the sides of the iron making the waffle batter flare out on the iron, it looks like it is going to fall off (if you lift the iron it may) If waffle is not flaring bounce it up and down gently until it does.

7. After waffle flares, submerge iron in oil until bubbling almost stops, remove immediately.

8. Remove waffle from iron.

9. Dip iron into oil a moment to reheat then start the next waffle.

Comments

1. If waffle is doughy, thin the batter with water.

2. If waffle is too thin add flour.

3. Sand off any rough surface on the iron if you are having problems.

4.If batter slides down on iron when removing from batter, this indicates batter is too thick or iron is not hot enough.

5. Use metal or glass container for batter.

6. To use most of your batter you will need a bowl that is just big enough for the iron to be dipped in.
